Olvi Group achieved gold level in EcoVadis sustainability assessment

Group achieved the Gold level in its first ever EcoVadis sustainability assessment. This comprehensive assessment examines a company’s sustainability in the areas of environment, labor and human rights, ethical operations, and responsible and sustainable procurement. The gold level indicates that our sustainability is at a high level. Only 5% of participating companies achieve a gold rating.

EcoVadis is the world’s leading provider of sustainability assessments, offering an independent assessment of companies’ sustainability strategies and actions, evaluating them across four key categories.

Our sustainability work also received recognition in 2024 when we were included in the TIME magazine and Statista’s list of the World’s 500 Most Sustainable Growth Companies. This newly published list considers, among other things, a company’s financial stability, revenue growth, and environmental impact.

In addition, our group maintained a good B score in the CDP reporting, which evaluates companies’ climate work, demonstrating our long-term commitment to climate action.

Sustainability efforts on three focus areas

Our sustainability efforts focus on three areas: environment, people, and products. We are committed to several international agreements that guide and support our sustainability work. Additionally, our goals contribute to several UN Sustainable Development Goals.

Our environmental actions focus on improving energy and resource efficiency. We particularly promote the use of renewable energy, optimise transportation, and recycle materials. We continuously develop our packaging and support circular economy through material choices. We also consider the protection of biodiversity in all our activities. Sustainable use of water is an essential part of our operations, and we have systematically reduced the amount of water used per litre of finished product in recent years.

We invest in our employees’ well-being, occupational safety, as well as to training and development. We pay attention to consistent leadership and equality. We strive to ensure the implementation of human rights throughout our value chain.

The high-quality and tasty products of our diverse product range are the foundation of our success. We ensure quality consistency through closely monitored production processes and continuous quality control. The purity and origin of raw materials and sustainable sourcing practices play a significant role.
